Asylum - Great Yarmouth - Commissioned by Seachange Trust

Collaboration with David Allen Lambert resulting in two hour screenplay, installation with scrolling moving images in crates showing parts of bodies, sound and light. Touring show around the UK to 'hotspots' of tension around the subject. The asylum seeker as the reflective other.

"Words and images are removed from their familiar landscapes and projected onto unfamiliar terrain. The reality of this move toward freedom and safety is a minefield of contradiction and prejudice. Political refugees become benefit scroungers. Fragmented dialogues become sculpted screenplays. Asylum seekers become projected wallscapes. Within this exhibition text and moving images invite reflection".
